Privacy Policy

P-Ai is built so that your portfolio data belongs to you, not us. This page explains, in plain terms, exactly what stays on your device and what — if anything — leaves it.

What never leaves your device

  • Your portfolio itself: every holding, transaction, and account you enter is stored only in a local database on your phone. We never see it, store it, or have any way to access it.
  • Biometric lock: if you turn on Face ID / fingerprint lock, that's handled entirely by your phone's operating system. The app never sees or stores any biometric data.

What does leave your device, and why

  • Live prices: to show current prices, the app sends ticker symbols (e.g. "AAPL") — not your identity or how much you hold — to our server, which fetches the price from a market data provider (Twelve Data, Alpha Vantage, or CoinGecko depending on the asset).
  • AI Analyst: if you use the AI Analyst feature, a summary of your portfolio's structure (asset allocation, returns — not your name or any account numbers) is sent to our server and forwarded to Google's Gemini AI to generate the report or chat response. This only happens when you actively use that feature.
  • Anonymous usage logging: each install has a random, anonymous device identifier (not linked to your name, email, or Apple/Google account) used only to measure how much AI usage costs us, so we can keep the app sustainable.
  • Optional email signup: if you choose to leave your email for product updates, we store that email address for that purpose only. It is never linked to your portfolio data, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

What we don't do

  • No account or login is required to use the app.
  • No advertising, no ad trackers, no analytics SDKs.
  • We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services we rely on

Price and market data: Twelve Data, Alpha Vantage, CoinGecko. AI analysis: Google Gemini. Infrastructure: Cloudflare (our server and database). Each of these only receives the minimum data described above, and each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles that data.

Your rights

Since your portfolio data lives only on your device, you control it directly — delete the app and it's gone. If you've opted into email updates and want that email removed, contact us via the Support page and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
